Full Refund Before Onboarding Begins
eStatePlan™ clients are eligible for a full refund if their written cancellation request is received before onboarding begins. Onboarding begins when our team starts working on your estate plan, as described in the following section.
No Refund Once Onboarding Begins
Once onboarding begins, payments are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Onboarding begins when our team starts working on your estate plan.
This may include:
- Opening and preparing your client file
- Collecting and reviewing your estate-planning information
- Preparing or coordinating estate-planning documents
- Coordinating your consultation with a licensed attorney
- Performing other services necessary to prepare and complete your estate plan
Because dedicated time and resources are committed to your estate plan once onboarding begins, refunds are not available after this point.
Attorney Consultation
The eStatePlan™ includes a consultation with a licensed attorney as part of the estate-planning process. This consultation is included in the eStatePlan™ client's purchase and is coordinated as part of the overall estate-planning experience.
Legal services are provided by a licensed attorney and are subject to the applicable attorney-client engagement terms.
If You Decide Not to Continue After Onboarding Begins
Once onboarding has begun, an eStatePlan™ client may choose to stop the estate-planning process. Stopping the process does not create a right to a refund, including if an eStatePlan™ client changes their mind, does not provide requested information, misses appointments, or decides not to complete their estate plan.
Our team will make reasonable efforts to help eStatePlan™ clients complete the process.
How to Cancel Before Onboarding Begins
To cancel before onboarding begins, send a written cancellation request by email to [email protected], including:
- Your full name
- The email address used for your purchase
- Your purchase date
- A request to cancel your eStatePlan™
We will confirm whether your cancellation was received before onboarding began and, if eligible, process your full refund.
EMAIL A CANCELLATION REQUESTBefore You Cancel, Remember Why You Started
Life is unpredictable, and your estate plan is one of the most important steps you can take to prepare for your family's future. Whether your goal was to protect your loved ones, make your wishes known, prepare for unexpected circumstances, or help your family avoid unnecessary complications, those reasons are just as important today as when you started.
The documents you may need tomorrow are worth putting in place today.
Without an appropriate estate plan, important decisions may be left unresolved. Depending on your circumstances and applicable state law, your loved ones could face additional legal expenses, court proceedings, delays, or difficult decisions during an already emotional time.
We encourage you to consider what completing your estate plan could mean for the people who matter most to you.
